I’ve worked with a few recruiters throughout my career with varying levels of success. I was contacted by Patrick about a job opportunity with Upstate NY Engineer’s Benefit Fund. I did not know him so the call was unexpected and the job wasn’t exactly what I was looking for – or I didn’t think I was. Initially, I turned down the offer to interview, primarily due to what, on the surface, appeared to be fairly significant financial concerns. A couple of weeks past and I received another call from Patrick asking if I would reconsider. He took the time to discuss, in depth, the benefits offered as well as other opportunities that would make a cut in salary a little easier to digest. I agreed to an interview and ultimately was offered and accepted the position. Patrick went above and beyond to negotiate a couple of arrangements that I had in place with my current employer at that time which I honestly didn’t think a new employer would entertain. Not only was he successful in getting what I asked for, he was able to secure an arrangement that was more beneficial than I had. He was always pleasant and professional and open and honest in all our communications. His follow up was timely and he made what can be a stressful life change pretty easy to handle. I’m extremely happy where I am so, hopefully, I won’t need his services in the future. However, if I did, he would be my go to and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to make a career change or just move on to the next chapter.
